I have a kind of homophobia that resents the way straight people are sometimes viewed and treated by some gay people as just "breeders" or like straight people are just stuck in the 1800s or something. As if being modern and up to date means you have to be gay to be cool. I'm straight and there's nothing wrong with that! Being straight really is good!
I think I'm also sort of racist. Sometimes I think that the black people on my job will look for any excuse to get angry with a white person like me, so they can yell "discrimination" and start a whole mess with human resources.
THAT'S NORMAL, YO. LIKE IT IS WRONG WHEN PEOPLE ABUSE THEIR MINORITY STATUS JUST AS IT IS WRONG WHEN PEOPLE ABUSE THEIR MAJORITY STATUS. *** CLICK MY EGGZ & BABY DRAGONZ!
One of my best friends is gay. He and his friends sometimes refer to me and my boyfriend as breeders. I know they do it in jest, but it is a bit annoying. I think they do it though because for so long they were looked at as being wrong and now they have something to say we are wrong. It is really just so everyone feels like they are equal. I think some do it out of spite and in cruelty, but the good people are just doing it in jest or to prove that we are all the same.
It's normal to be a bit of both, regardless of what the "popular majority" says is politically correct. Just keep in mind- What you think and how you act toward people are two different things!
With the racist thing... there are a lot of instances where that is true, sadly... not all, but still... it's sad to think the pendulum has swung so far off center sometimes.
That's where you're wrong. No one is saying you have to be gay to be cool. If anything, they're saying "you have to be cool WITH gay to be cooL." And honestly... I agree with that.
