Bloop Moms

I love reading bloopers, but I often get annoyed OR confused when their diary names are either announcing theyre pregnant, proud to be "childs name" or how many kids they have. I don't know, it MAY be cute if you personalize it but in reality, you just become a part of all the trendy blooper moms and i forget you. Maybe, if your name is something that defines you (not saying a being a mother doesn't) but something for you as a woman. so, you won't just be a mom sitting on her behind with her toddlers (diary name, I've seen it).

It's like putting qualities of yourself as one person, are you going to be "Janes mom - mac & cheese maker - vacuum cleaner - knocked up again - mother of 8" -

i just will likely remember you more by your name. I know this will strick most of you, but it's not meant to be rude or disrespectful - just trying to set you aside.

Lol - I haven't noticed I think I'm friends with like 2 or 3 mommy bloopers but they dun have that "mother of..."

I agree - I think the name change makes them seem defined by their child. But it is also a show of how important and life-changing the child is to them. It's not my cup of tea either, but I can understand it.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't personally have a problem with their names, but there's SO many of them now that I don't even bother reading them when I see them. I just assume their entry will consist of "Oh 'James' did the cutest thing today!" and blah blah blah. The ones I have read have all pretty much been like that, so I just move on now

Ditto!

i hate that! it makes me not want to become a mother if all i'm going to be is a 'mommy'

I agree with all the above commenters. I only have 2 bloop buds who are pregnant but since I can't relate I just don't say much and let them prattle on. I talk about my dog all the time so you know, I'm not any better LOL

I find it very odd anyone would have issues w/ another person's diary name, especially when its over them displaying they are a mother, regardless of how they choose to word it. And I highly doubt any "bloop mom" is going to go changing their name just so people who do have such issues will "remember" them more.

I agree with you crunchymommy! Who cares what they have their diary names as??? hehe it seems kinda silly!

like the old saying goes... dont like it, dont read it. a lot of mommies take pride in their kids and some people dont know what its like till they have a kid.

[FEiSTY♥MAMA|0 likes] [|reply]

I agree. It's kind of got a soccer mom appeal. And by that I mean those annoying people that put "My kid is an honor student at .....Junior high" or whatever. I like to call them soccer moms because that's what it reminds me of.

/agree!

i would also lump the people who write ""mrs. _____" or "lover of _boy's name here___" because they are defining themselves as not individuals, but property.

at least that's how i look at it.

[LNStar|0 likes] [|reply]

what's the big deal? why can't they have their names be what they want?
I'm a lot of things... A nursing student, a wife, and a mother.. And right now the fact that I have a house full of toddlers is what sticks out most!

[HomefulloToddlerz+1|0 likes] [|reply]

well im proud to announce the number of children i have as my name. cause all three are my gifts

Haha, I find it funny that all of the people that disagree have diary names about their kids/being a mom! I agree with this entry to an extent, however I can see the point on the other side as well. I have been "Lauren." for YEARS, but when I got married I temporarily changed my diary name to "Mrs. Patterson", but shortly thereafter when back to "Lauren." It was the signify how happy I was and proud to be his wife, but then got slightly boring, so I went back! lol.

i love my bloop diary mom's, AS I AM ONE - but i have to agree to an extent. sometimes, i read and read some diaries here and then I realized that I had read them before but I often forget them - because sometimes i don't remember who they are. There are some diaries that do have the mommy classification in their name, but they have sticked with it so long, that i like it! i do like uniqueness. and no one needs to change their name, who cares if i don't remember you, you know? lol!

i like my FIESTY MAMA!

i get the point of this entry, and i am not a mom hating or anything, i'm a mom too. i just can't keep up with all the mom changing names, it's true. but i do just stick to my girls i have here anyway.

I usually can't remember the name of the diarist when their name is "mom to [insert number of children] or [insert name]'s mom". Instead, I can remember their children's names, which are written throughout their entries. I literally forget blooper's names that I've been reading for years. It's pretty bad.

[xo heatherStar|0 likes] [|reply]

agreed wholeheartedly. some people don't seem to have any more of a life or personality than simply being a mother. newsflash! most people end up having children.

[tigrrr|0 likes] [|reply]

Hm, I'm a mom, I have 3 children, but I would have to agree with this.. I have so many of those on my favs that I honestly forget which one is which.

[Endless LoveStar|0 likes] [|reply]

yes.. keeping your individuality is important. well put.

I actually agree, i'm a mother myself and my little girl is my world but i dont want to be another mommy diary, I talk about her of course but not only about her.

[Guarded|0 likes] [|reply]

LOL!!! Do you really care that much?

[The Mama Star|0 likes] [|reply]

჻ೋ჻ My diary is written by me, it is my personal place to vent, escape, etc. I'm not just a mom or so and so's girlfriend, finance or wife. I am me and my diary name reflects me as the writer. Like half the people on this site are mom's or married or in a relationship, doesn't mean it needs to be in your name. Use some creativity. ჻ೋ჻
