every time a plane goes over my house, and I hear the engines, I panic and wait for the thing to hit the house. my thought is that if it hits my house, I will have no more thoughts, and it gets my heart racing.
In all honesty, I get nervous when planes fly over me now too. And I have to pass the airport to get to work and they are taking off and landing, and are so LOW. Makes my heart skip. I know it's rediculous, but I can't help but have the fleeting thought....
I so know how you feel. I have anxiety with crap like that. We had bad storms in my area this morning and I was sure a tree was going to fall into my house, through the roof, into my bedroom, on my bed, and crush me. Yep. I have issues like that, lol.♥ -
My step son has a similar fear. Whenever he hears or sees cars near by, he thinks he's going to get run over. He has a sensory processing disorder where he has difficulty perceiving how far away objects are and tends to hear background, low noises a lot louder than foreground noises.
Everyone else had a theory that it was a fear grounded in fear of being attacked, I thought it might be the sound that made them so terrified (panic attacks?)
