When he married her, it absolutely broke my heart - a week before the wedding, he had told me he was single, they were just friends, and that, this time, they weren't getting back together. We fooled around all night. A WEEK LATER I found out from mutual friends that they had gotten married the day before. It broke my heart.
Fast forward about three years, and their marriage is falling apart. I hated her from the beginning - tolerated her because of the association with my "friend".
He knew I loved him. He knew how bad it would hurt me. That's why I found out from a friend. I'm not sure what hurt worse though - the fact that he lied to me about being with her, the fact they got married, or the fact I had to learn through the grapevine what had happened.
But either way, now their marriage is absolute shit. And, although I don't want him back, that absolutely makes my day. I hope they hurt as bad as I did. |
