I really wish...

...that my mother would STOP criticizing me and telling me everything I can do to improve myself.

I've come to the point where I can barely talk to her on the phone or share pictures of events in my life with her, because she's always telling me how I can improve - my weight, my clothes, my hair, my makeup, etc.

She's really sending a message that nothing I do is good enough for her - the way I dress, how I manage my health, how I look - and it's driving me BERSERK!

One of these days I'm going to snap on her and say something like "Mother, would you PLEASE stop treating me like your personal Barbie doll?! Can't you accept me the way I am?!"

FFS!

why don't you just say it now and get it over with? You are who you are and she should be greatful to have you as a daughter and not try to mold you into something your not.

Wow, that sucks. Would it be that hard or bad not to speak with her? Clearly it's painful to have her around.
