Miscarriage

06/02/2010

I had a miscarriage, I have one 9 month old which was born 31 weeks gestation; 3lbs 12oz from my previous relationship (he was a total mistake but my son was not). I want another baby already. It's two weeks after the miscarriage and I go see my OB soon. She told us to wait a month or so but we've read online that I am fertile before my next period so we've been trying. I hope I get our little miracle..

Some people say we should wait, some say we should not.
I am just going to do what I want to do. It's my body.

Edit: // I did have a son that was born 3lbs 12oz. I had a steroid shot at 27 weeks because I went into premature labor and they stopped it. Why in the hell would I lie about that? Also, thanks for the person that corrected the girl who said that I said my son was a mistake, who would ever say that? Children are never mistakes, just a surprise... which he was not. Either way, I have nothing to prove because I know my son and how much he weighed and when he was born.

They don't tell you to wait because they're trying to control you. They tell you to wait because you should give your body time to heal from the miscarriage. If you get pregnant too soon, it can result in another miscarriage or an unhealthy pregnancy.
Of course it is your decision, but be careful.

What she said ^. It's good that it hasn't discouraged you, and that you are willing to try again, but you need to let your BODY heal. Just because you're healed mentally and emotionally, that doesn't mean that your body is physically healed.♥ -

I hate it when people refer to their children as "mistakes"....it just doesn't sound nice.

She said her son was not a mistake, her previous relationship was a mistake.

You should wait alittle bit they a month or two or a circle or two after your next period to give your body sometime to heal.. if you try now and your body isn't healing you could end up in the same situation again......which is the miscarriage.

I've never heard of a baby that is born nearly four pounds at 31 weeks gestation. That seems unlikely.

I was born at 32 weeks and was 3lbs 11oz. So yes it is possible thank u very much!

You should listen to your doctor. I worked with a woman who thought the same way you did - and it nearly killed her. she had 4 miscarriages and immediately kept trying afterwards. She never had the baby; she was forced to stop b being hospitalized.

You have a 9 month old and your trying for another baby already? I know ppl do it all the time but that doesn't meant that it's healthy.
Your body will pay for it later on, you need to give your body time to re-cooperate, otherwise there could be complications/ infections etc, especially considering your first one was only 3lbs.
