I definitely don't believe it's unhealthy. I can see the appeal to it - it's less work, you get what you want and it's over, less emotional connection, etc. etc.

I believe masturbation in itself is a healthy thing for people (not 85 times a day, though ).

What I wonder though, is if it's only been less satisfying with THIS boyfriend, versus a previous boyfriend. If this is the case, I would try maybe having a talk with your boif, and laying all the cards out. Maybe there's something missing that you'd like?
