I'm sick of people - and I'm talking about people who should know me better - always assuming the worst about me.
I just unfriended and blocked someone on Facebook because he and I and some other people got into a discussion and in the course of that discussion, I perceived a stereotype was being made about a certain group of people. I politely and calmly asked "please don't make assumptions that all people in group X do these things because I am one who doesn't" and this old friend of mine and one other person jumped all over my ass and told me I was being rude.
Geez. If asking, in a calm and direct way, "please don't make these assumptions" is being rude, I can't begin to figure out how on earth they expect someone to speak their truth.
Oh, and because I don't really like to watch television (I prefer to read) I was told I'm ignorant and worthless. Yet I am the rude one.

That happened to me before, too... Minus the TV thing. People piss me off.
The TV comment would have sent me through the roof. I think everyone has become illiterate.
