I whine and get upset that the guy I'm dating won't commit to me, but at the end of the day I really am glad and feel lucky to be my own person. I would never want to be one of those couples who is attached at the hip.

there's a difference. in fact, those are both extreme ends of the scale. i've been with my bloke for 6 years and he spent 3 months over seas recently. you can still be your own person.

Yeah nine years with my boyfriend, we're committed to each other, but definitely not attached at the hip. There's such a thing as a happy medium.
