begin. Josh: Well, I was a bit blunt. I flat out said that I felt uncomfortable "talking" to him, especially when it was all flirting. He is a nice guy, but not my type. Then today, on my class's field trip to the Vocational Technologies and Training Center (VoTech), I saw a few pictures of him in the Cosmetology department. Gah. I really just wasn't ready for that type of relationship. :/
Driving: I completed the required behind the wheel portion of Driver's Ed (which my mom had to pay $225 for!), and received my temporary licence until a court date is scheduled. WOO! I just got insurance yesterday, so I can drive now. Finally! Sadly I don't have a car, and nor do I have a parking decal for school. It costs $25! Whyyyy is driving so expensive? I haven't even had to buy my own gas yet!
Jobs: Mom got a job! She found a place that an old work buddy owned and she hired Mom without an interview. She starts Monday working 8-5, Tues-Fri (she works the first Monday only). Then today I got called for an interview with Food Lion! It isn't the absolute best place to work, but definitely a nice source of income.
Friends: This semester I really don't have a lot of classes with friends. In the few classes I do have with friends, we're separated across the class. I see Slaw so little that I have to go to her house a bunch just to have time with her.
Classwork: Most classes are easy, but I've found that I have to consciously work at Bio to maintain my grade.
Extracurriculars: I really need to keep up with SCAEL. We have a meeting Wednesday. BLECK. I still have to read a play and write two sets of questions. Then I need to go back and do questions from the last book because I got behind. A chess club started up, which I joined, and the first meeting for that was today. First game-playing meeting will be Tuesday, but I might not be able to do it if the potential job conflicts.
I think that's most of life right now.end. | | |
