begin.

Took an unannounced break for a month. I'm back. Heh.

Anyhoo, I've been getting more and more into linguistics lately. I love the English language and how beautiful it can be in the right hands. Just look at literature. What would I do without Robert Frost or Edgar Allen Poe? Oh man. I also realized that I love language in general. Foreign languages astound me. Sure, right now I am limited to French, but next year I'll be in Spanish as well! I hope to take some Latin at my damnable school before I graduate, but I fear their screwed up scheduling methods won't allow it. Ah well, we shall see.

I also took a brilliant survey just now to pass some time. HelloQuizzy.com had some personality tests I've taken. Looking on the site, I found this gem: "The Commonly Confused Words Test"

AH, I'VE DONE THAT ONE BEFORE, YO! THERE IS A QUESTION OR TWO THAT I DISAGREE WITH, OR RATHER THEY HAVE MORE THAN ONE POTENTIAL ANSWER, DEPENDING ON WHETHER YOU'RE USING THE LANGUAGE THAT IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTED IN MODERN DAY DICTIONARIES OR WHETHER YOU'RE INSISTING ONLY ON USING ONLY ORIGINAL MEANINGS. BY THE WAY, YOU CAN TOTALLY LEARN LATIN ONLINE ON FREE SITES - IT'S EASIER TO LEARN THAN MOST LANGUAGES BECAUSE THERE IS NO SPOKEN ELEMENT. ALTHOUGH YOU HAVE TO BE SELF-DISCIPLINED TO TEACH YOURSELF - I STARTED LEARNING IT BUT I TOTALLY LACK SELF-DISCIPLINE!
