"You must do the thing you think you can not do." - Eleanor Roosevelt
So, I'm sitting here on a Sunday morning at work & trying VERY HARD to not fall asleep.
The pinched nerve in my butt/leg has really been bothering me the last 24 hours so I took a muscle relaxer last night before bed and again this morning about 2 hours ago. Add the fact that I only got about 5 - 6 hours of sleep last night and it's nap time, baby.
While it's true that I'm at work, it's a Sunday morning in a hotel. Sunday mornings at my hotel are notoriously slooooow.... The morning can go either 1 of 2 ways. Either everyone will be up and out pretty early OR people will hold on to the 12 noon checkouts with an iron grip. Today's been an original though.
OMG!! The phone's ringing!!! Something it hasn't done in a good hour. VERY unusual.
Anyway, like I said, today's been an original. Nobody on the first floor wants to check out, apparently. On the other hand, everyone on the second & third floor has gone. The poor housekeeper, Barbara, who has the first floor has had to keep herself busy with the 4-5 rooms she has on the second floor. I guess the other housekeeper, Darla, has just been scaring everyone else off while Barbara looks too sweet & innocent to appear threatening.
It's ten to noon now. She'll be able to go back & start knocking again soon.
My MIL asked Shawn to pick her up some Equate Sleep Aid tablets despite the fact that she JUST picked up her Rx sleeping pills not 2-3 days before. Something's not right there.
Well, Boss Lady's due back tomorrow so I guess I should go through and dust and just clean things up in general.
Okay, Virginia's gonna go knocking on doors. She's gonna go kick these lazy bums out now that it's full-on noon. Good. That'll give me something to do too. Not much, mind you, but SOMEthing's better than nothing at all.
