[02] Turkey Day survey

Do you dress up for Thanksgiving? No. Chris was sick & vomiting. They were lucky I showed up clean & vomit free.

Where will you spend Thanksgiving? At the in-law's

Who is going to be there? Just the five of us. Me, Shawn & Chris as well as my in-law's

Who are you looking forward to seeing the most? Neither of them really. I see them at least once a week as it is.

Who are you not looking forward to seeing? --

Who eats the most food? I never really pay attention.

Who's most likely to fall asleep after dinner? Chris did since he was sick. He didn't actually eat anything other than a bite of mashed potatoes.

Do all the men disappear into the tv room, only to emerge for food? *grumble* Yes.

Are you perpetually placed at the kids table? We don't have one.

If you're not the host, will you help clean up? I would have but she didn't let me.

What foods are being served? Turkey, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, baby peas, dinner rolls, pecan pie & apple pie.

Does your family cook turkey or ham? Usually both

What's your favorite Thanksgiving dish? Sweet potatoes

What's your least favorite dish? Usually dessert. By the time we're done, the thought of dessert just makes me groan.

Mashed potatoes: lumpy or smooth? Lumpy

Gravy or no gravy? Either way

Is it Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie? Not really

What is your favorite pie? Pumpkin

What's the best Thanksgiving dessert you ever had? My Grandma Newton's pumpkin pie.

Is it: stuffing or dressing? Stuffing

Do you like candied sweet potatoes? Yep

Jellied or whole cranberry sauce? Neither, really.

Do you watch the Macy's parade? Sometimes, if I get up in time. We tried to this year but Chris had no interest.

How about football? We watched a few minutes of the Cowboys/SeaHawks game but that was it.

Do you know what teams played the 1st football game, Thanksgiving 1934? Dallas?

Do you watch the Peanuts special? I try to. I caught the last 25 minutes or so.

Do you put up decorations? No but I bought a special tablecloth & placemats last year.

How much do you think you will eat? I cleaned my plate.

If you have pets, do you share with them? She got the scraps.

Will someone say grace at the table? No

Do you remember the story of Thanksgiving? Yes

Do you know which president declared Thanksgiving a national holiday? No

Do you participate in Black Friday? No!!! The people at Wal-Mart are just too crazy!! That man got trampled because of the crowd?!? A man got arrested at my Wal-Mart for forcibly trying to take an Xbox from the 15 year old who legitimately grabbed the last one!!

COME ON, PEOPLE!! THIS ISN'T WHAT CHRISTMAS IS ABOUT!

What's the farthest you've ever traveled to celebrate Thanksgiving? About 30 - 45 minutes.

What's your favorite food made from the leftovers? We don't. We just eat them as is.

Does Thanksgiving make you think of Christmas? Yes, cuz it's next.
