[Challenge Books l My Service Diary]

This is an update on the job scenario. The day before yesterday Jeff came in around 5:30. I just assumed he went and worked on the farm then with his brother was to why it was so late. His job at the farm is just walking the birds and picking up the dead. Not. He worked there all day. There were things that needed fixing and such. Now this job is 7 days a week. He was frustrated. He said that if he was expected to work this many hours every single day that he wasn't gonna stay there. I was like what?! I told him well I don't think it is cause you just worked two days prior to this and they were only like 2 hours each. Anyways, we got into an argument over it and didn't talk til about an hour before bed. His basic problem was that for the hours involved his pay wasn't much. It averaged out at about 8.60 an hour. My deal was that his brother's pay averages out less that than at about 6 an hour. The only thing was that he doesn't work sundays...woopee. Anyways, he was more or less frustrated. He went to work yesterday and came home a bit more positive...well, a lot more positive. For right now he is only getting paid by the hour til the big boss mike decides if he wants Jeff to stay and whatever else. Jeff is thinking that moving into the house is actually required and not an option. His boss Jess that he actually works under, who in turn works for Mike, said something about needing someone there who is reliable in case something happens to her and kind of run things. She is suppose to talk to Mike I think on Sunday. Jeff's not sure how he's getting an hour. When he was just there for clean out of the house's he was getting paid fifteen dollars an hour but that was "temporary" work. Now that it's looking to be long term but not yet salary we're not sure though Jess said she was getting him every nickel she could. We really like Jess and not just because of that but she was just cool when he was there for the clean out. But she did say that moving into the house takes the salary from $850 every two weeks to between $600-$700 every two weeks. That is not bad considering that if we had to pay rent, electric, and water out of that 850 it would leave us with less than 600 anyways. But all that is covered with the house. So therefore its good. But Jess said the she was gonna push for more since he's such a good worker. It used to take the two workers before til 3 pm to get the birds walked. Jeff and the one guy that is still there it's only taking them till 10 am. :] Plus, when they were moving the baby birds that came in after clean out Jeff didn't lose one bird...not one! Even Jess said she couldn't do that which is awesome lol. Mike is just worried cause Jeff is Stacy's brother and he knows that Stacy is lazy and unreliable which is why when there was a month left to go with clean out they asked him not to come back, they only wanted Jeff. :x He wasn't um, too, uh, happy with that. It's weird and kind of ironic cause Jess is Stacy's landlord and he's been helping with clean out since he started renting off her. Jeff only helped with the last two clean outs. haha. Mike has been asking the different workers about how good a worker Jeff is and so far they are saying great things. :] Jeff was shocked cause he said that the service guy (who pretty much tells everyone how things need to be done) told Mike that he wants Jeff to stay, he's reliable, dependant and hard working. I was like why are you surprised? Jeff said cause he doesn't really know the guy that well. I was like that just makes it all the better because his opinon of you to Mike isn't bias based on a friendship. Mike can get an good idea of what your like then. So now, about the house. Apparently Mike owns cattle to in which he hires a guy for taking care of them. Now the house is gonna be that guys. We can move in after the kids are out of school (Jess won't let us till they are out) but we only live there til November. In November they have this other 3 bedroom modular house on top of a full basement that we will move into. Jeff said that it was nice as well. I would like to see it though because I don't always trust Jeff's opinions lol. But right now some Mexicans are living in it but the one guy who actually leases it is moving back to Mexico I think and Jess told them that the others can't stay. But the farmhouse actually goes to the cattle farm being as it's closer to that than the chicken houses and this house is closer to the chicken houses. I don't care as long as it's nice. I'm not really excited about it that much though. I don't feel like there would be any reason to unpack except for the essentials and yeah, I won't feel like it's home then. I'm scared altogether. Jeff and I have never lived anywhere for a long period of time except for the apartment we are in now. We've lived at probably 6 other places before here and the longest being 9 months. We've lived here for a little over 6 years. Plus we have 7-11 about 1/8th of a mile from us. We have friends who live right here with us or on the street behind us. I don't know what I'll do when every evening it's just me, jeff, and the kids. I'm within 5 miles of my parents but if I move it'll be like 45 minutes. But at the same time I'm excited. ugh, it's weird I know. lol. The thing that causes me to be the most upset is the kids. They've only gone to one school and they have friends. Michael has had so many problems learning wise that he's gonna be held back this year and I don't know how this is gonna go over with the new school. I don't even know which school they will go to. William is starting middle school which is stressful enough but to add to it not having friends to share that experience with might be frightening. Going to a new school and not knowing a single soul? Yeah, I would be frightened as well. It makes me wanna cry honestly. I told Kelley about us probably having to move and she got real quiet and didn't say anything really. But even though it's a done deal I don't want to just be one day like "hey, we're moving tomorrow or whenever" and her like..."what?!". At least she's been warned and can deal with it easier though I doubt that. I will definitely have to get the phone bill paid so that we can keep in touch seeing as we can't just have our girl talks like we used to if we move. She's probably the closest friend I've ever had and it's gonna tear me up. I mean yeah we will get to visit and what not but not often. We're both broke ass bitches lol we can't afford the gas money lol. I might be able to more than her so I'll make a point of it. Anyways, I just had to get that all out more or less so that I could feel better. I gotta finish cleaning I suppose. I was on a roll and now I've gotten lazy. Probably because I had lunch so I'm a bit sleepy. :]
