OMG so on the other topic: I WILL BE GOING TO CANADA.
The last time I left the country, I was like, 9 years old? And at that point we only needed a birth certificate and we were going on a class trip to Montreal. oh wait, that was 8th grade, so I was closer to 13. ANYWAY.
So me and Ana have a hotel booked in Montreal (we picked Montreal because it's basically a straight shot up north from where I am, though of COURSE it's the only french-speaking part of canada). She paid for the hotel room, and we calculated my half of the cost, and that's going to be what I'll pay for in food. It's two weeks, so ^^ I'm not driving because I'll panic and I can't drive places I don't know, so I'm taking a bus, and the round-trip ticket is pretty cheap and the bus depot where I get dropped off is like, walking distance of the hotel.
We have some plans for what we're going to do, like touristy things. My BIG thing is that I really, really wanna go to the Biodome. I also want to go to a zoo if we can, but IDK. ANd she wants to go to the movies together. (My birthday card contained a "certificate" for one movie trip with snacks & snuggles ^^)
Tomorrow I go to the DMV to get my enhanced driver's license, which works for crossing into Canada and so on. And it's cheaper and faster to get than a passport. If Ana and I decide that more trips are coming in the future, I will most definitely get a passport. She has said before that "next time" I should come to Europe and I really, really want that. There's a lot of English speaking countries over there.
(Side note: she speaks English, German, and some Spanish. She's half-Spanish on her mother's side, but she hasn't lived there in a while so I guess her Spanish is not good, but then again she showed me a video she made of her reading in Spanish and she does it well.)
I forget if there was a point to this.
The point is I am traveling soon and I have never done this kind of travel before. i'm nervous, yes, but more than anything I am excited.
I just want to be with her, even for two weeks. So, yeah :-)
I'm gonna go bounce around in happy feels before work. |
