The boy

His name is Josh, and we just clicked immediately. I know its crazy and naive to believe in love at first sight, but just a week ago I was sitting here talking to this boy who had all these amazing tattoos, and cute smile. The next day we went out, he put me on his motorcycle, and his name hasn't left my thoughts since. When he looks at me I can feel him looking into me. Almost as though he is studying the person I am. He never judges me. He brought me to church for the first time in months, and I enjoyed every second of it. I was listening to him play music and watching him fill with the spirit, and I knew that there was a reason he had been placed into my life at this exact moment. I spent the next week in his arms, while we went out and spent time with my friends ( cops are a very exclusive group) but he clicked with them too. Able to talk and laugh like one of us. Never hesitating to crack a joke, or smile. He reminds me of the person I want to be and encourages me to do it. I am so blessed at this moment in my life.
He wants to slow down, which I think is pretty smart. We fell into this really intense relationship really quickly, and we are both freshly out of very serious (however negative) relationships and need time to understand what our single lives should be and to see who we are as individuals before we begin to rely on another again. I hope this is the beginning of something wonderful. I cannot explain the level of happiness he has already brought to my life.
