Just got back from the hospital...
My sister went back to the OB today. My mom went with her just in case and it's a good thing she did.
They did another ultrasound and this time, they found the baby. But it was in her tube. They were cruel because they showed her the baby on the screen and even showed her the little heartbeat...yes, she was that far along.
Then they took her in the office and told her they had to kill it.
So they admitted her to the hospital. Gave her some shot that's supposed to kill the baby. She has to stay there until the hearbeat is completely gone and they're sure that they've completely terminated the pregnancy.
If the shot doesn't work, she'll have to have surgery.
What's really cruel is that they put her on the floor with all the pregnant women. And on that floor, everytime a baby is born they play lullaby music over the speakers. So, my sister has to lay there all night listening to lullaby music knowing that someone has just had a baby while that shot is killing hers.
Also- they told her that since this pregnancy was ectopic, that most likely if she got pregnant again, that one would be too. So basically, she may never have a baby.
It hurts me. My sister has wanted a baby for so long and when she finally gets one, she has to kill it.
What did she do to deserve this?
