Overly Confused

For the past nine months I have devoted all my time and energy to one guy who ended up being nothing more then a hookup. Now, he's in a relationship and we hardly ever talk. I've been talking to more guys who are interested in me, however, I'm afraid to do anything with any of them because I can't get my mind of him. I don't know what to do. I wanna move on but I just can't. My friends all tell me I can do better, but every other guy I see, I don't think is better. Is it really time to face the facts and move on?

To put it harshly, YES! MOVE ON! He obviously doesnt see you as someone who is worth it or he would be in a relationship with you and not someone else right? So you need to find someone who will want you as much as you want them. Other wise hanging on for this one guy will leave you in pain at the end.

I've been in the same situation before. In the end, you just have to move on. You will find a guy that really cares for you eventually.

Yes, you should. But it might take some time. You can't just MAKE yourself move on. You can try, but let's face it- You'll never give anyone else a fair chance when you're thinking about someone else the whole time. You need to go over the situation in your head again and again. Make yourself hate him if you have to. But you really should move on.

I'm gonna say yes, move on. I was in a really, REALLY similar position. The only thing a girl should EVER chase is her tequila, doll, learned that one the hard way. When i finally resolved to move on, it was hard as hell. My subconcious doomed me, every other guy i met i kept comparing to the one i wanted so badly but couldnt have. Every other boy was "He's good, but he's not *name*" and that's a crappy mistake. Once i did move on though, i was glad, because now i have someone 100x better, and you know what? The first guy never did come back, and it's a good thing, because he turned into a total d-bag. lol.

It sucks i've pretty much felt the same way but ya.. it's time to move on and you may not think you can do it but one day you will be able to. for me it's always been when i didn't try. when i wasnt looking for anyone and all the sudden theres someone new who actually makes me stop thinking about that other person. you'll get through it just give it time
