I got pregnant by accident. I still love my child more than anything in the world. I wouldn't change anything about having her.
But recently... two of my former "friends" have magically become pregnant. After they both encouraged me to think about my options regarding my daughter. Currently they are absurdly unrealistic about what being a mother entails.
Apparently it's all sunshine and rainbows on their end.
No one's told them to have an abortion or to give their baby up for adoption. Or that they're too young to be "trapped" and "held back by something that you're not ready for"
...
...
I feel bad for their kids when they come out.

How do you know that they didn't get pregnant by accident? I think it's pretty egotistical for you to assume they did it to copy you. You also don't know what is going on inside; they might actually be terrified and are putting on a brave face.

I know people like that as well. It's a shame.

They "magically" became pregnant? Do you think they did it on purpose to hurt you? I don't think so. Many people are unrealistic about being a parent until they actually have the baby. Having said that, you could also remind them of the way they treated you when you first became pregnant. Maybe they will feel bad and apologise.

They were just trying to help, and make sure you were aware of your options, it seems. Now that they are pregnant, they feel the same joy that you did at the time, so they aren't seeing any of the 'advice' that they gave you. I wouldn't take it too personally.

They will learn once they have their kids.
