Nikki's Story

Hi, I'm Nikki or .Ban.Ignorance.
I'm 22 years old and hoping to change my life forever.

I've always been overweight. I am 5'5 and 271lbs. This is my highest weight since high school. Around two years ago I was down to 220 (and it was at that way and steady for a good long while) because I was working out regularly and eating - when i could. However then my father died and then on top of all of that all of a sudden I had massive amounts of pain. I had to quit my job and school because most days I couldn't even walk. Two years later I was diagnosed with Endometriosis. I moved back to VA from SC so I could get help. YAY I had surgery in Oct of 08 and I'm on my way to being normal again. NOW.. I still have pain and it's most likely that the endo will grow back. BUT I'm determined to have a life.. at least while I can hehe.

I have my own elliptical (thank you to my boyfriend!!!!) and I'm hoping to be able to use it again. It's my favorite piece of exercising equipment and everytime I use it it kicks my ass and i LOVE it!!

My favorite thing to do is watch those aerobic videos and work out with them. I'm a dork and I'd totally work out to Richard Simmons too!

I drink about 6-8 glasses of water a day, I have a glass of milk a night with dinner, I drink apple juice when I'm sick and sweet tea when I go out to eat. I usually have dinner and maybe soup for lunch. I know that I have to eat more but it's hard when theres no food/too much pain to get up the stairs. Anyway... I'll work on it.

goals next entry!

Wow, we're pretty close to the same size! I'm also 5'5, and I went from 280lbs in October 07 to 260lbs presently. You can totally lose the weight. You're right, you need to eat a little more. The less you eat, the more your body thinks you're starving. Isn't it so evil? Keep up the elliptical. That thing is my favorite machine.

I have endometriosis as well, it takes hard work to be able to build a life around it as well as keep in good shape. My biggest problem is not eating and I'm bigger because of that too.

Im kind of curious on what endometriosis is.
Maybe you should post an entry about the symptoms and why it's a nuisance. (:

I'm thinking about getting an old Richard Simmons tape and rocking along to that!
It sounds like fun!
