my name is derrick. i'm twenty years old.
i used to kind of hate my name, but i'm more or less okay with it now.

i'm sort of a third year print journalism major. i say sort of because i'm currently taking a semester off. and i'm really only a journalism major in name -- the podunk community college i go to doesn't actually offer any journalism classes. however, i plan to transfer to a "real school" eventually, where i will definitely be pursuing a degree in print journalism.

i've been here since december of 2002, though you wouldn't really be able to tell -- my bloop failed to tell a linear story for quite a long period of time and i was horrible at actually commenting, which i hope to remedy this time around.

i watch a lot of TV. my favorite shows currently on air? scrubs, true blood, desperate housewives, and criminal minds.

i'm also an avid gamer. i just started playing super princess peach, which is actually heaps more fun that i ever would have anticipated.

i work as a short order cook and occasional dishwasher at Rib Crib. i'm currently in the process of training as a server too, so i'm well on my way to becoming a jack-of-all-trades.

i'm bisexual. if this ever becomes the most interesting thing about me, i want someone to shoot me. it's funny -- i tend to lead more guys, but tend to actually date more women. i blame this on the lack of decent 'mos around here.

i apologize at the sorta boring introduction -- i was never very good with these things.

feel free to comment. i've seriously neglected this place so much in the last year or two that i have, like, three favorites and i'm totally eager to meet some new people.
