I seem to have lost my writing muse of late. I look back and see the same posts, over and over. I feel awful for neglecting this site, maybe it’s work that’s sucking the life out of me, maybe it’s that I’m getting older. I wish I found myself more interesting!
I made one of my longer road trips last weekend. Three hours each way to a little .4 mile asphalt race track outside the great metropolis of Altamahaw, NC (population: 24). The town has one stoplight and the Post Office shares the building with a hair salon and a church. The track is decent though. Good enough amenities, great racing, good loudspeaker system, and no long waits to get out of the parking lot afterward. The weather was perfect, it was in the low 80s when I arrived and got down to the mid 60s before I left. Here are some photos:

I booked my Thanksgiving trip today. I’ll be in a one bedroom suite in North Myrtle Beach, overlooking the ocean. I have my fingers crossed for nice weather, I’ve been lucky for the past four years. The past three years especially, I think it’s been in the mid to upper 70s for the past three Thanksgiving vacations.
