The Bees Knees
Oh dear gawd my knee. My poor poor knee. I had to be up at 6am for work today and I was half afraid to get up in case I couldn't move. I tried and much to my delight I wasn't as sore or as stiff as I thought. However, my knee still hurt, so I whacked on so Ibuprofen gel and soldiered on to work.
Breakfast on the move half a wholemeal bagel with peanut on and I must admit IT WAS AWESOME! I never used to eat breakfast, let alone eat food that earlyin the morning but it gave me so much energy!
I jokingly said to my brother yesterday that I bet the one time I pray they stick me on till all shift, they'll get me to do a delivery and lo and behold! Guess what I had to do this morning! They asked me to work backstock chiller and then work the bread delivery. THAT'S when the effects of yesterdays workout kicked in. I really felt stiff and sore and every time I had to kneel on the floor to put out some bread rolls, it fookin' hurt my knee. I managed it though, even if I did have some help on the last pallet. It didn't stop there, missy here decided that she'd ask Nicki who was working produce what needed to be done next. Nicki replied with, "Oh you can help me if you want." This then led to be throwing out huge crates of fruit and veg. Which, despite causing me deep pain, was actually kind of fun. I also discovered something about myself today. When I first started working at Aldi, they tested me on produce, and I struggled so much to even lift the crates, let alone hoist them onto the top part of the tables. Today I was lifting and hoisting with ease and I didn't even break a sweat. It was so much easier, I actually want to be given a chance to work produce more often. I might bring it up in my performance review. That's if they even happen considering I swear we were supposed to have them about four weeks ago.......
Also the good day of working deliveries had to stop at some point as I was second till and the store became so busy I had to remain on till for the rest of my shift. This is where I really felt my muscles. Sitting down on till for that length of time cause me to stiffen up and I could barely walk and move without struggling or being hunched over.
Finished at 2, wanted to do some shopping but realised the amount I wanted to get, I wouldn't be able to carry home. So I walked home, ate the other half of the bagel, got into the car and went back to work to do some shopping. That bagel gave me so much energy that instead of coming home and resting for an hour, I decided to just go right ahead and put the next insanity DVD on!

Plyometric Cardio Circuit
Aw man, this DVD would have actually been all right if it weren't for my sodding knee! I made sure to put gel on it before hand and just power through. Most of the DVD was all right but a lot of the stretches and moves during and towards the end really put pressure on me knee. It's hard to give 100% effort when you knee is playing up. I don't want to stop and rest it and let it heal because it would totally screw up my days and I'd feel like I failed all ready. I'm just hoping it'll learn to heal itself around the workouts as stupid as that probably sounds and I doubt that's even possible. Oh well fingers crossed. I ache so much right now, I'm walking around like an old woman. Had a protein shake after I worked out and I'm going to have one before I go to bed. Here's to hoping tomorrow is a better day for my knee. At least I get a bit of a lay in....

Food Intake
One wholemeal bagel & peanut butter
Healthy snack bites from work
Flavoured rice with HUGE diced chicken breasts in. (courtesy of mum again, eating healthy would be alot easier if I lived alone....)
4 x tea
2 x Protein shakes
