Top speed Aw man, I did not want to get up this morning. I woke up, raining was beating on the window, I still felt tired, sore and just did not want to face the day. I needed to pee though so I had to get up. Really though, I was feeling so lethargic, I just couldn't face the thought of doing another insanity DVD and it was only the third day! I did get up though and tentatively stretched to see what hurt and what didn't. Pleased to say not a lot ached, not as badly as yesterday and my knee barely hurt at all, only twinged when I walked down the stairs. Bonus.
I had breakfast. chilled out for a bit to let it settle before I did my workout. I then showered, made lunch and prepared my dinner to take to work. Ridiculously healthy and no fun at all.
Work was just as tiring as yesterday, I started at two and surprisingly I was not main till, I was fourth and then I was fifth. All night, shocking I know. Instead I carded a little, then was asked to work the alcohol delivery and then the chiller delivery, I had Laura help me. There were 4 chiller pallets, I started at half 4 and finished at 8. Took me forever, but I was just so tired from doing the insanity dvd. I just ran out of energy and by the time we finished my manager gave me another job of date checking the chiller. Normally I don't mind doing this but I just was so tired I wanted something a little easier. Managed to get most of it done by the time I left, I was a lot quicker then my colleague, I did most of the work.
Just writing this and trying to down a protein shake. These things are harder to drink without having done a workout first. It's more of an effort. Bed time soon, back in at work at 7:30. Looking forward to my half a wholemeal bagel with peanut butter on. Man that is good.
Cardio Power & Resistance
This workout was a lot more enjoyable then yesterdays workout. It still had that made cardio bit at the beginning, but there were a lot more water breaks this time. What I loved about this dvd is that I really felt it work on my core muscles and my arms. I was starting to worry that most of the DVDs were going to be mainly working the legs. I was pleased when I encountered the V push ups, the moving push ups and the tricep dips. Damn they were tough, and after completing the DVD I thought my arms were going to fall off they felt so sore and heavy! After the workout I also noticed I had sweat literally dripping down my arm, I've never sweated so much is actually dripped! Good stuff! Bring on Cardio recovery tomorrow though, I doubt I'll make it to my martial arts class.
Food Intake
2 x tea
2 x protein shakes
30g Benefit with red fruit cereal and milk.
2 slices of wheatgerm bread and half a slice of turkey breast
Apple
Lettuce, cucumber and green pepper salad with two slices of pastrami and a drizzle of light salad dressing
1 x celery stick cut and sliced into strips.
Hummus
3 x Garlic toasties, crusts left and only the middle eaten
Sweet and Sour chicken microwave meal (only half eaten)
I would like to point out that the last two food items were of my mothers doing. She had it made and ready for when I walked in from work so I couldn't refuse. I didn't eat all of it though.
