Pirates

I wish I could live in the 1700's and be a pirate. There is such a silly stigmata attached to pirates nowa days. But they were some hardcore bastards. Black beard was such a bad ass. He didn't like killing people, and though he did on occasion he didn't kill near as many as people think.

But the deal was, he made you THINK he was going to kill you. People THOUGHT he would skin them alive so most of the time they did what he wanted.

Pirate or privateer, being one or the other would be awesome. Back then... Not so much now.

I really want a serious pirate movie to come out one day.

Pirates were bad asses but they are also placed on a pedestal today in some ways. They were out for money, pure and simple and would do anything to get it. Plunder, pillage, kill. I would rather be a pirate than one of their victims though.
