NoJoMo 1

11/01/2010

And we're off! NoJoMo has begun. Now I am committed to one entry, every day, for the next 30 days. Thirty days has September, April, June, and NOVEMBER. I can't tell you how often I've repeated that little rhyme to myself when trying to figure out how many days were in a particular month. It's one of those rhymes that just sticks with you.

I was sound asleep after dinner last night. Had to take a Clonazepam because I was starting to get all anxious. Every little noise A made in the house rang in my ears and shot through me like a bolt of electricity. I couldn't quell the anxiety on my own to get to sleep, so I needed a bit of pharmaceutical assistance. Those pills work in no time flat because I was soon fast asleep on the couch, snuggled under the blanket with two cats above my head and one sleeping on top of my chest. Jericho is the chest snuggler. Snarf and Shiloh were sprawled on the back of the sofa.

My feet hurt. Bowling was a lot of fun. We managed to bowl four games a piece, until that last game, where A twisted his ankle by slipping down the alley. He bowed out of game four, so C and I finished it up. A won two games. I won one. The final game, C and I tied up in the fifth frame and stayed tied until the very end. I didn't bowl up to my usual standards, but I can honestly say, the simple fact that I broke 100 in all four games was cause enough for celebration, considering it's been a long time since we've been bowling and I'm way out of practice. We all are.

On the way home, we had to make a stop at Jewel because C and I forgot some essentials in our grocery outing. We didn't buy eggs or pizzas for our Friday night pizza fests, and we also needed peanut butter, two more loaves of bread, and yeast cuz A is baking muffins. Actually, he's making sticky buns. I can already feel my blood sugar rising.

We missed the majority of the goblins trick-or-treaters because we didn't get home until about 3:30, and the neighborhood started at 2:00pm. We did get a few stragglers coming right up until 5:00pm, so we didn't miss them all. A isn't particularly fond of the trick-or-treaters and if I'm not home, he won't open the door and pass out candy, so that job always falls to me. C didn't even stick around for it. Jason came and picked her up to take her to a haunted house tonight and she's spending the night at his house. It was just me and the old man for the night.

I saw nothing of the Saints/Steelers game, but I'm happy the Saints won convincingly in the end.

I'm not sure exactly what is wrong with me today, but I've been having one panic attack right after the other all day today. It's already been a two tranquilizer day, and I've slept through most of it. I think perhaps I'm crashing, or coming down from the tremendous high I've been on over the past couple of weeks.

I've just now gotten some semblance of normalcy in my body. I hope it lasts.

The night of bowling sounded like fun. I bowl like an old lady. The ball is alway heavy for me. No matter how light of a one I pick. B hates it.

Is there something new going on that you're worrying about too much? I'm trying to remember what it was that had you "attacking" like this before.
