I am a heathen, i've only recently started to come into this faith, and i'm just beginning to learn more and more about it.
One of the things i've learned is what the Heathen Virtues are:
Courage
Truth
Honour
Self rule/discipline
Hospitality
Industriousness
Independence
Steadfastness
I pledge. From this day on, will do my very best to uphold these virtues, to bring them into my life and do everything possible to uphold and honour them.

After having Coffee with Jasmin yesterday, she mad a valid point, these virtues are a decent starting point, and i shall do what i can to uphold them but they are merely the first step, there are more to come.
And so, i'll modify my pledge
I pledge to do my very best to uphold these virtues and bring them into my life, and I will also be aware of other virtues and values and incorporate them into my life as well, and to always maintain some flexibility, to realize that to be truly aware i must think, and not blindly accept what i'm told.
My virtues must come from within me, and from my own moral code, as much as from any external source |
