We had a good Christmas. Austin got in on the 23rd, it sure was great to see him, and the girls were excited to see him. Well, actually Journey was excited, Taty didn't know how to act around him. We got Journey all kinds of stuff to do with playing house, a little kitchen, and table set. Matt's parents got her a little iron and ironing board it is really cute. Austin's parents got her a little Dirt Devil vacuum, it makes sound and is really cute. Tatyana got a couple of dolls, some stuffed animals, and some learning toys. Both girls got computer learning games, I love stuff that helps them with learning.
Austin couldn't believe how much Taty was walking, she is on the go all the time. Once she learned to walk you can't slow her down now. She is talking a little bit, too. Just your basic words, she doesn't know how to put them together, yet! And of course Journey has been talking forever, she is a little chatterbox. And she is always asking a lot of questions, and always saying "you know what" it is so cute!
Austin got me a nice leather jacket, I've always wanted one. I got him some ski bibs and a coat, since he is skiing more now. He is using a friends old pair of ski's, I don't want to really spend money on ski's with us trying to save for a house.
We kind of got into it about the house, I really want to be out there, but he is set on getting that house. I'm beginning to wonder if the house is worth this. I don't understand why he doesn't want to get us out there now, and just get a bigger home down the road. So we had one bad day where we were arguing with each other, then I just stopped talking all together, so made for a bad day.
We made up later that night, but with him still wanting the home he wants. But, I really don't know what to do about it. He won't see things my way at all.
New Year's we went out with friends and went to a club, they had a live band, it was a lot of fun.
I've never seen Austin drink, I didn't even know he liked alcohol, I was shocked. I didn't drink, but then I don't like the taste of it. Austin got a bit tipsy that night. I asked him when he took that up, he said, he goes out with some of the guys from work and gets a beer or two. I said, we are saving for a house. He said, I only go out once a week, so he said, he really isn't spending much. I know he has to put some money aside to have some time for him to get out.
Austin left at 6 tonight to head back to Colorado. I won't see him now till April, then me and the girls are flying out there. We went through our finances and hoping to have the money buy August. Keeping my fingers crossed to have $20,000.00 by then for the down. We want a good down for our payments are smaller, and they want a bigger down since Austin wants the basement finished at the time. So of course that made the price of the house go up.
Of course it was so hard to see him leave tonight. We sat inside for about an hour before he left and I just started to cry. I just hate saying good-bye, I feel like my heart breaks everytime I have to say good-bye.
Matt sent a gift over for Journey with his parents, I told his Mom you mean he can't bring it over himself. Well, then what did I expect from him? His Mom gave it to Journey and said, it's from your dad, I'm like the only dad she knows is Austin, I'm sure she thinks it's from him. His parents are really good about getting something for Taty, too. I told them you don't have to, they are like, no, there are two kids here, so they both get something.
Hoping 2010 is a great year for us, and that we are in our house this year. I have no idea how long it will take them to build it once they have the money, I sure hope not long. I'm hoping by the end of the year we are in our home.
Going to try and lose 25 lbs this year, so I'm getting really serious about watching what I eat, and going to the gym at least 3 times a week, and if I can go more that would be great, too. I know that the parents would be glad to watch the girls if I wanted to go more, I just hate taking the time away from them. Right now they only have me. Journey asked Austin if she could go back with him, it was so cute. I told her, but I would miss her a lot, so she had to stay with me for I wasn't lonely. I thought it was cute, but it broke my heart, too. That she feels she wants go be with him, too. She said, isn't daddy lonely, I said, he has a roommate and he is busy working, but he misses not being with us. He just told her he couldn't take her because he works and there would be no one to watch her.
Well, wishing you all a great 2010, hope all your wishes and dreams come true for this year! |
