Welcome! Please, walk all over me
So, Gaspar asked me yesterday what I was doing last night. I said I planned to sit in the coolness of my house, maybe order a pizza and watch a movie. His eyes lit up so I asked him if he wanted to join me (he loves pizza!). He said he'd be in touch later. He touched base with me throughout the night but it was always something. The biggest thing last night was that he "forgot" that he can't run the A/C and the washer/dryer at the same time at his house and he ended up blowing a fuse. But, not a "normal" fuse...it was an older style where the whole fuse needs to be replaced. So, this was about 8pm. He said he was going to run and get the parts, fix it quick and then come over. He said he would "come over no matter what, even if he didn't get it fixed". So, I held off on ordering a pizza for awhile. He finally texted me at almost 10 pm to say it was fixed. He asked if I ate, I said no. He apologized profusely and seemed upset that I didn't eat. He said he was sorry he's always letting me down. I know he had to fix that but with him it's always something.
We talked about it briefly at work today because he opened the door wide open. I was waiting for him to finish some paperwork to give me and he said he was going to come into the office and get the sandwich I brought for him. So, I started to walk away and he goes "Well, if you don't want to wait for me, that's fine" pretending to be all offended. So, I turned around and smiled sweetly and said "I wait for you all the time Gaspar, why should today be any different". He was like "oh hell no, you did not just rub last night in my face". So I laughed and told him that he walked right into it! lol He tried to tell me that he warned me that he was an asshole. I told him that I never once thought of him as an asshole and that I was calling myself names. He wanted to know why I would do that and what names. So I took a deep breath and jumped off the bridge....I told him "doormat". I'm good at telling everyone else to not let people walk all over you but I don't always listen to my own advice. He seemed to be a little upset that I thought he was walking all over me. I tried to explain that I feel like he takes me for granted, that I'll just always be there whenever, but I don't think it came out right. Oh well...if it continues to happen I'll either continue to try and talk to him about it or I'll tell him I'm done. Simple as that.
