Well-- I have barely logged on here in the past 2 weeks. Things have been stressful (and that is an understatement.)
The townhome in Arlington isn't working out. When I get out to DC in a couple of weeks, we are going to be moving. ugh. I really trust Ryan's judgment, he is a very fair and loyal person. He has a good judge of character and if he says we need to move I trust him. Apparently, our landlord is a little crazy (and that is probably an understatement.) He is so out there that Ryan doesn't want to be around him and doesn't want me to be around him. He seemed really nice and first, he wanted to hang out with Ryan, show him around, take him out to bars (this guy is probably like 40), etc. Ryan went along with it, he was new in town and of course you want someone to hang out with. But now he can't really get rid of him. He shows up pretty much every night after work. He is drunk ALL THE TIME. He talks about really weird stuff.
But, it gets creepier. Ryan told him a week ago that we are going to have to break out lease (a month is...classy, right?) because it was just too hard of a commute for him and he decided that it would just make more sense for us to live somewhere that is easier for him to get to work...pretty much a lie. Well, the guy took it personally and totally went off on Ryan. Yelling, screaming about how he hasn't respected him and how all he tried to do was to make Ryan feel welcome and show him around and make sure he had everything he needed since he just moved out here and how dare he go and betray him like this. Aka..the guy is nuts. He has gotten some really odd emails emails from the guy basically listing everything he has done for him and how mean people are and how he likes to go read to his niece at night and help dogs at the dog shelter because they will always love him because no one wants them and how he just wants to go step into the street and be hit by a bus so he doesn't have to feel the pain of society.
Yea, crazy right? So, Ryan found us a new place. I'm praying it isn't a the bachelor pad type lol. It is 2 more stops out in Virginia in Ballston and it is also a townhome. But, it is owned by a Management Company opposed to an individual owner and it is in a little townhome community. He sent me some pictures, I will have to post them. It looks cute, nice, very new. I am glad we are getting out of this situation now but it has been stressful. I am almost worried about Ry's safety. This guy does not seem stable.
Only a couple of weeks until we are both in DC for good I can't wait to see Ryan. Pack up the apartment and ride off to DC together awwww.
Wedding planning is going good. Bridesmaid dresses are picked, fitted, and ordered. I feel like all of the big things are done, which is great. Now it is just the small details and I don't even know where to start. My mom gets in town later today ! My Alabama girls are throwing me a bridal shower tomorrow ! I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!!!!! It is going to be fun. A nice stress reliever to be attending something that I didn't have any part of- all I need to do is show up.
Umm what else. Work is going well. We had a field trip to the Birmingham Zoo yesterday, alwys an adventure. But it was fun. The kids always look forward to it every year. It hit me yesterday how much I am going to miss these little monsters.
Okay, update done. My goal is to not go MIA again. Lots of busy weeks coming up!
xo,
K
