Advent Calendars
This year I'm doing something a bit different for an advent calendar instead of those cheap store bought ones with the fake chocolate inside. Here's a pic.
I like this idea mainly because I have two kids and yes, that one little piece of chocolate just doesn't split well between the two. Sometimes I wonder if we will make it to Christmas with the fights and tears that evolve over this single piece of nastiness. These are just so simple that you can basically see how to make them by just looking at the pic. Find some pretty printed cardstock that you like and make a cone out of it. Okay, make 25 cones out of it lol. Make some little tags with your numbers with coordinating colors. You can find most of this stuff in the scrapbooking section of your craft store or you can print out your numbers on cardstock in a design that you like. Glue the numbers to the front of the cones. Punch a hole in the top of the cone, string with twine or ribbon . Fill with your favorite goodies and hang! So simple! I can't wait to make mine.
