Had my weekend in Denmark, which was awesome fun aside from the journey home. Arrived in Aarhus earley on friday morning and got a bus to the uni, where we met our Danish friends and Robert the German who'd arrived before us on an overnight train.
Benji, Ash and Nerogh (their character names, not their real ones) were absolutely awesome hosts and provided all the food and beer for the whole weekend. I put a little of he stone I lost while sick back on because of them... durnit!
Spent loads of time talking about random stuff - I introduced everyone to the Natural Confectionery Company advert, so the whole weekend was filled with cries to 'BRING ON THE TRUMPETS!' Best ad ever. We also played a little WoW, and tried out the trading card game - which was actually awesome fun. Think Magic: The Gathering but with the ability to form a team against bosses controlled by a kind of DM. We raided Black Temple on Saturday (wiped on the Illidari Council) and then Magtheridon on sunday - we killed him pretty nicely. All in all a great weekend, except...
It took me 14 hours to get home. 1.5 hour flight delay, fligt diverted from stansted to Bristol, coach to London, train from victoria cancelled at balham, 3 hour wait there, cab as far as addiscombe, walk to parents as I had no flat key (Debby was stuck in east London). Great fun. |
