MOOD: EMOTIONALLY DRAINED

classic layouts
I used to write here at bloop. I stopped because i really didn't feel like i had time anymore, but now i need SOMEONE more than ever ... so here it goes ...

I just bought an apartment for my boyfriend and I. we have been together for 7 months ....
well, the other day he was placed into detox because we found out he has been addicted to heroin for 8 months ... so now he's going to rehab and im kinda by myself with the apartment thing. I know he needs help, but i feel really sad and lonely now that he's going to be gone for a few months and i just need someone to talk to about the situation and ANY similar situations ....

I forgot to add ... He is 21. this is his 3rd trip to rehab ...

please ...
your thoughts are needed.
i just ask that you DO NOT JUDGE.

That sounds like a really hard situation to be in, but it is good that he is getting help. To begin with, he is going to need your support right now. He needs someone he can call when it gets tough in rehab, and a support system that lets him know that he is doing the right thing. I am sure that it will be difficult to live on your own for awhile, but keep yourself busy and think of the positive changes your boyfriend is making! Secondly, remember to take care of yourself. As cliche as it sounds, you cannot loose yourself in this hard time in your life. Have faith, stay strong, and good things will come from this!

Sorry I can't really give any personal experience in this area, but I am open to talking to you if you ever need someone to talk to. Good luck!

*hugs*

well, he might not be gone for that long, it could be only a few weeks, it just depends on how well he responds to treatment. so dont dwell on how long it will be.
Its going to be hard, but you will make it through. Go see some friends, people you havent seen in a while. Visit him when you can. Call when you can. Youll do it =]
