I've been doing research for tips and tricks for portraits. I am lucky in the fact that I have a lot of equipment already from being into photography for several years now. This year for my birthday, Chris gave me a nifty new lens filter that cuts out glare and reflection (the difference is amazing), and a new tripod. I've been having fun with that.
November 10th Rachel and I are going to Toronto to see Rocky Horror Pictureshow live. A friend is playing Brad Rogers in it. We're psyched about that part. I have a distaste for Toronto, however. That city has too many people and not enough space; how anyone can tolerate it is beyond me. Kai is moving back to Toronto at the end of this month. I'm disappointed, but there it is. Our lives are still going to involve each other, regardless of distance. Twenty-six years of friendship will not be ended by that.
People are getting engaged and having babies all around me lately. I'd say that's the norm for my age group, but that was happening around twenty-five, now it's like a second wave. It's peculiar. I was telling Chris about how in my family, it's happening in order of oldest to youngest. Shawn has been married sixteen years, Amie got married this year, and Jeremy is getting married next year. I wasn't hinting or anything, I just thought it was interesting the order it was happening. He sort of smiled and said " Don't worry, you'll get married too." My brain stuttered, and my heart skipped. We're not in any hurry. We're both of the mind that you should live with a person for a while before that becomes a thing. You don't really know a person until then, do you?
