The Pets You Have

What pets do you have now?
i have a fancy rat, a kitten, and a horse.

What are their names?
My ratty is Socrates, my kitten is Iona, and my horse is Duke

Do they show you affection?
Socrates is very affectionate, and Duke thinks he is a 1-ton dog. Iona is very playful and friendly, but I've only had her for 24 hours so she's not used to me yet.

Do you believe they are intelligent?
Duke is wayyyy too intelligent for his own good. Socrates is your average rat, which is smarter than most rodents. I don't know about Iona yet.

How old are they?
Duke is almost 26, Socrates is almost 2, and Iona is about 3 months.

The Pets You Used to Have

What are your favorite pets now gone?
Shadow (first dog), Bunny (first rabbit), Banjo (one of the cats when I was very little), Secret (second horse).

What were their names?
Oh. Already told you LOL

What happened to them?
All of them but Secret died. I sold Secret to a young family because she was an extremely difficult, high energy horse, and I didn't have enough to time to put as much work into her as she needed. It just wasn't fair to her, so I sold her to someone who would have the time to give her the attention she needed and deserved. It was heartbreaking, but felt like the right thing to do.

Did you cry when you lost your pets?
Yes. Shadow's death affected me most, because I had him from the time I was five until I was nineteen, and I was away at university when he died.

Would you bring them back if you could?
It was their time. They all lived to a ripe old age.

Pets You Would Like to Have

What type of pet(s) would you like to have that are possibilities?
A chinchilla. Softest creatures ever.

What pet(s) would you like to have if it WERE possible?
A penguin!

Random Pet & Animal Stuff

What is your favorite pet name you've heard or would use?
I like the ones I use for my animals. Some people think they're a little weird, but whatever. My best friend's pets are named Othello, Gaveston, and Tweek LOL. Two historical/literature-related names, and a South Park character. I enjoy unusual and original names.

Would you risk your life to save your pets?
For Duke, definitely. I've had him for more than half of my life. He's getting older, and I don't even want to think about losing him.

Would you swerve to avoid driving over or hitting an animal?
I always do! Of course!

What is your favorite type of wild animal?
Penguins, and most wild cats - especially bobcats.

Do you have a bird feeder in your yard?
My mom has about 8 of them, but I live in an apartment now.

Do you hand feed squirrels or other wild animals?
The squirrels around here are all on crack. I don't want to go near them.
