Wow I didnt realize it had been so long since I updated! Well things here are going good. Evan had his 2 month appointment on the 28th and everything looked good. She gave him a prescription for Zantac because he has a little bit of reflux but other than that he is a big healthy boy! He was 15 lbs 8 oz and 25" long. At 2 months Brady was 15 lbs 7 oz and 24.5" long. So they are almost the exact same size at the same age. Evan is so smiley now, he is always smiling and cooing at me. I love it.
Brady is good. We decided about 2 weeks ago that we were taking away the pacifier and he could only have it when he was taking a nap or going to bed. He was seriously addicted to that thing, it was always in his mouth. So he had a hard time with it being gone. All these people are like "oh after the first day or two they wont even notice they dont have it!" UH yeah right!! he still gets mad sometimes and cries when we take it away in the morning or after a nap and everytime we get in the car he is pointing at the diaper bag and whining for it. Or he will go dig through the diaper bag pockets when we are at home. I guess I let it go way too long. I read you are supposed to take it away around 12-15 months and he is 22 months. Since we took it away he has been throwing some tantrums when he is mad, i guess because he doesnt have it to soothe him. I felt really bad the first couple of days and really wanted to just give it to him but I didnt. However since we took it away he has been talking SO MUCH more! He can count to 10 now which I think it the coolest thing, and I just am so proud of him. His new favorite word is "Hey" he says it all the time. The other day I took a piece of chicken off his plate and ate it and he gave me this dirty look and said "HEY!!" like he was mad HAHA. He is just so smart.
I went to Ocean City this past weekend with my family and that was alot of fun. I left friday afternoon and came back saturday night. Aaron stayed home and gutted the playroom and downstairs bathroom (more on that in a minute). It was fun though. Brady LOVED the beach. he really liked the ocean and played in the sand for like 4 hours.
So as far as the playroom goes. We FINALLY got our tax refund for buying the house! a nice fat check for $8,085.49!!! We owe his grandparents $4,900 that they lent us for our down payment and weare saving $1,000 for when we go to Florida in september. Then we are completely redoing the playroom and bathroom. We are putting up all new walls, recessed lighting, new carpet, Aaron is making a built in shelving unit for the one wall, in the bathroom we are putting up all new walls, a pedestal sink, and tiling the floor. We are keeping the toilet, light and mirror in there. I am SO excited for it to be done! It is going to take a while since Aaron is doing the work himself but I am so excited.
Well my child is acting a fool right now so I am off. |
