well today my vacation is officially over I havent worked since the 17th! We left on Friday the 18th at 8 pm to drive to Florida. The drive went well. Evan did pretty good only had a couple times where he was fussy. We got to Orlando FL around 11 am on the 19th. The first day we just swam and relaxed. Monday we went to the Magic Kingdom at Disney, Tuesday we went to Cocoa Beach, and Wednesday we went to Blizzard Beach water park. They were all alot of fun. Disney is nice because even Evan can ride some of the rides. Brady liked the Carousel the best again and rode it probably 20 times LOL. Blizzard Beach was awesome. They have a huge kiddie area with water slides that Brady could go down by himself. It was really geared to little kids about 2 and up so that was cool. It was alot of fun. We did alot of shopping and got both the boys alot of clothes. We came home on saturday and it took about 15 hours again but this time we drive during the day and stopped for about a total of 2 hours to let the boys out at various times so we made really good time. Both the boys did amazing in the car. I bought Brady a latches board (Melissa & Doug) that has 6 doors with different latches on it that you open then there are pictures inside the doors and he played with that for hours.
Both the boys had well visit appointments yesterday. Bradys 2 year and Evans 4 month. They are both doing awesome! I will start with Brady:
He was 32 lbs and 36.5" tall. She said he is doing great with fine motor skills because he can draw circles and lines. He can also do somersaults and "run jump" where he jumps forward/out with both feet off the ground. His speech improved alot because at 18 months he could only say one word and now he can say 30 or 40 words. His speech is still a little behind for his age but she said he made great improvements with it. He knows all his colors, can spell his name, and can count to 10. He will put short sentences together also like "more milk please" and can do alot of signs.
now on to Evan:
he was 17 lbs 4 oz and 27 1/4" long. He is doing really well also. she said we could start cereal so I did that today. He wasnt impressed lol. he opened his moutht he first couple times when I got the spoon close but then just started rejecting it. I am going to try again tomorrow. He is doing good with his goals. He rolled over from front to back, can push up on his arms, and can keep his head level when you pull him up. He loves to stand and tries to sit up by himself. He is on track to be the same size as Brady. At 4 months Brady was 17 lbs 10 oz and 28".
Both boys are above are above the 95th percentiles for height and weight.
In other news Bradys birthday is on friday! I cant believe my baby is almost 2! his party is saturday.
Well my little E man is fussing right now so I better get him |
