Just wanted to say yay for Steve bringing back bloop and that I missed everyone.
Well let me first begin by saying that I have a new myspace because the old one tied me to some things that I just needed to finally cleanse my life of. I have to admit that it did the trick, as I have been feeling much better about everything since the deletion of the old one. The new one has most everything that the old one had, except I haven't gotten everything on the profle filled out. I will get around to it though. Promise.
This year has been hell, the worst year of my life in fact, and I lost something that had been a major source of joy in my life. That was the main reason. But then, by losing that I also rid myself of a lot of pain and drama. Do I miss it? Sometimes. I think there will never be a time when I don't, but things have a way of working out how they are supposed to, and whatever that means, I trust that it is the way that God intended.
I was appointed President of Phi Alpha Theta, and that has been an experience in an of itself. I think that it has only reinforced what it is that I love so much about history, and it has been an opportunity for me to really get to know other people in the department as well as professors. I am glad, also, that Rachel, Mar and I work together so well. We're a great team of officers, or so I think. I am also gald to report that I have developed another relationship with a professor, Dr. Ross, and I think she's wonderful. She's been the critic I have needed in my research and writing, and between her and Buck, I think my education will be quite extensive.
In addition to that, I was recently nominated for Omicron Kappe Delta, another honor sociey so keep your fingers crossed for me.
Let's see, hmm. Well, my cousin Anna got married last month and I was a bridesmaid. That was a lot of fun, except for all of the bridesmaids nearly passing out during the wedding from the heat and shoes . Oh! and the mother of the bride and maid of honor nearly getting into a fight the night before. The wedding was beautiful though, and I am so happy for Todd and Anna (even if she thinks she's getting to name her son James and not me. James is MINE).
Joey, Ellie and I have spent alot of time going to lunch and debating politics this semster. Joey is a hardcore democrat, Ellie a hardcore Republican, and I'm somewhere in between, closer to one side than the other depending on the topic (Generally, I lable myself a libertarian). We like to loudly debate while eating, especially when next to a group of middle aged adults who speak loudly and obnoxiously in the first place. The best day was when I called Joey a socialist. What fun that was.
Ellie and I were Jellicle Cats for Halloween, or rather, I was Rumpleteaser and she was some made up cat that she named Iliago. We went to Brad's party that night, and ate at Frogz in New Brockton for supper. I think me and Crystal, Brad's gf, did the Cha Cha slide twenty times that night. Good times.
I have had differing kinds of luck with guys this semster, the first of which was terrible. No phone call, no nothing, just a split and then a conversation that I won't get into here but those who matter already know about. I have met a really great guy though, and we have talked in length since our first date. My mom doesn't like him since he is 10 years older, but I'll be 22 in less than a month, and it is my decision. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
I finally bought my Chewy plushie, and he is by my Chewy action figure and both are gaurding my FedEx jar. Another one of those need to know things lol.
In other news I have finally become obsessed with my Pirate queen CD. I bought it a few months back, listened to it once and put something else in the player (Jesus Christ Superstar) and became obsessed with that. The other day on my way to see my parents, I put the Pirate Queen in and now It's always playing on my Ipod.
Anyway, so now we're all caught up. Yay us.
