Sorry I haven't updated here! I have comfortably settled into Easy Diary (http://easydiary.ewsentinel.com/) as PixieChick. That name came from Jamie randomly saying that my vanity licence plate should read PIXICHK if I ever got one. lol
Work is keeping my busy with the new Hebrew Camp coming up - I'm making poster boards for them for a super market and learning clothes, colors, numbers, parts of the body, time, and money in modern Hebrew. Yes, Google Translate has been my friend!!! Yay, interwebz. It's been fun and tedious at the same time. The "Yard Sale of Biblical Proportions" just ended eighteen minutes ago. It's been INSANE. I remember the craziness from past years, but this year, we got so much stuff for it that we had to turn congregants away. There was no more room. It began Wednesday at 5 PM. People started showing up at 8 AM. Yeah. So trying to be creative over the insanity of a 500-family yard sale feet away from my office has been interesting, to say the least! ...And I only spent $35. **giggle*innocent** $3 I should have seen coming. I scoped out some toys for Morgan's preschool, and the director gave me cash when I dropped them off. There was no way I wanted to hang on to the $54, so I just came back to work after I dropped off the toys and picked up Mrogan. You see where this is going? lol She found a musical tea set. Morgan "served me tea" for 20 minutes. The musical part may meet an untimely malicious demise. But she loved playing with the toys. I'm afraid that she might expect that every time she comes to temple now!
I also opened my mouth to the Union County WIC office. I knew they took donations, but I wasn't sure what exactly they'd take. The social worker there told me that I could pick up some small stuffed animals for their annual "adopt a stuffed animal" program every holiday season or gently used/nerw baby clothes. I didn't get a change to ever look through the clothes, but I got them a bunch of stufed animals! And me being, well, me, I got "weird" ones. An orca, a blue t-rex, a blue hippo, a horse, jaguar. I even found a camel with a yarmulke! I may keep that... And two puppets for Morgan's preschool- a hedgehog and what might be an arctic fox, but it's open for debate.
Sorry - I am so tired. Jamie and I went to the Motley Crue/Alice in Chains concert Tuesday night, and my old ass hasn't recovered yet. lol
