I have patience. Lots of it. It's usually pouring out of my ears. Our synagogue's receptionist is sapping it away like some evil psychic monster. Both my boss and I wanted to tell her to eff off today. I know deep down why she's so annoying. Her husband is in the Philippines, for a reason none of us know. Her children and grandchildren don't live in the state. She's always the center of everyone's business because she's the Front Line. Except when she doesn't know, she assumes she needs to know. Now. No matter what you are doing or how inconsequential the question or observation might be. Or even if it has absolutely nothing to do with her job. She constantly badgers me about the Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. I've gradually taken over all the forms and leaflets and certificates over the last almost 3 years. I also buy the gifts (synagogue money, not mine!) and wrap them - a Bible and either a silver wine cup or candle sticks. I don't have another one until MAY. Granted, then they are all at once, but I can't do a whole lot in the mean time. Things change, people may or may not come, the Torah portions might change. I deal! She can't. One of the other employees comes in the side door to avoid her. The woman who's leaving for Baltimore was telling me that our receptionist thought I was mad at her or something for not making some show of saying good bye every day. I was being optimistic that she looked busy. I have no idea what she actually does. She pawns all her work off on other people, but Heaven Forbid she help us. "I'm too busy."
At least Morgan has been adorable! She has "learned" how to kick, so we're playing a lot of soccer with one of her soccer balls. She loves to play fall on it, too, like "GOTCHYA!" lol
The image thingy isn't working. I have a great pic of her on the floor with the ball, like "I got it, Mama!"
