I learned today that I will be flying to Detroit for a training class on June 3 and returning sometime late in the evening on June 7. There are other cities I’d rather visit but I suppose one motel is the same as all the rest.
I have some plans for the Memorial Day weekend. I’ll be going to Winston-Salem for the races again on Saturday, this time I’m staying the night and meeting some friends at the track. That’s always fun. Sunday will be rest, relaxation, and house cleaning. Monday I’ll probably smoke some pork ribs or maybe a shoulder for pulled pork. I might have a very good diary friend stopping by, she and her husband are moving to my city and Monday will be their first full day in town. I know they’ll be very busy that week getting things ready before he starts his new job but hopefully it’ll be some comfort to know someone in the area. We’ve met before, a few times so it’s not like it would be our first meeting.
I’ll probably have more photos from the races when I update next time. I attended a model car show in the upstate last weekend, I’ll close with some photos from that show.
