Everyone retells the legends of the Appalachian moonshiners and bootleggers who helped start NASCAR and who were some of the star drivers, owners, and mechanics of the first 20 years of that organization. You never hear much about the revenuers, the agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms who pursued those legends on the back roads and hills of Appalachia. At least one such ATF agent joined his adversaries on the track for a time, however.
Hollingsworth "Worth" McMillion was an ATF agent from the Richmond area of Virginia who competed against such legendary moonshiners as Junior Johnson, Curtis Turner, and Buddy Arrington on the track. Between 1962 and 1969 Worth competed in 62 races in NASCAR with a best finish of fifth and with 19 top 10 finishes to his credit. Most of those races were in this car, a 1965 Pontiac Catalina 2+2.
