It was gorgeous all weekend here in the Midlands of South Carolina. Sunny and mid 70s on Saturday and upper 60s on Sunday. I decided to spend Saturday afternoon at the local zoo, I went ahead and bought a year's membership. It will pay for itself on the third visit, I see myself going more often with a pass. In the summer when it's oppressively hot I will probably go in the morning when it's cooler, just stay an hour or so to feed the lorikeets and maybe the giraffes then come back home or run other errands.
Sunday was more lazy although I did get outside to cut down a couple of pine saplings that had sprung up. They were less than a foot from one of my oaks so they wouldn't have made it anyway.
I seemed to spend all day today at work doing paperwork and file organization. Not a thrilling day, but necessary. |
