Cement veins cover the earth, winding and stretching for miles and miles. Where there was once a forest reaching for the clouds now stand black cement memorials of humanities progress. We continue to suck the lubrication needed to keep the gears inside the earth turning and laugh at the sky. The world is ending all around us and people are just getting cosmetic surgery and trying to figure out what SUV to buy. Throwing fabulous dinner parties and picking out throw rugs.
It makes me sad to know that so many people see life as dollar signs and possessions. Knowing that time, a made up measurement that lives only inside of a clock and pieces of paper that are worth nothing control every aspect of human life.
You never know when you will loose the people closest to you. Only that you will loose them. Do yourself a favor and cherish every moment spent. The good times and the bad. Because when they are gone the bad times will seem so petty and unimportant, and in fact they are. You will wonder why you thought you were so unhappy. So many people fight over money and own-able "things." In one hundred years from now that dollar will tear and that house will fall. That job won't exist and that car will break down. All we have are our thoughts and our feelings. In the end what is remembered is how we were treated emotionally. Not what we were bought or given. Don't miss out on true relationships because of what society has pushed on you to accept as real.
I could spend the rest of my life in a box outside as long as I was next to the person I love. Nothing else matters to me.
