OK so we’ve just started back at school, it was weird teaching my first lesson- almost like I’d forgotten what it was I actually had to do… but I guess it’s like riding a bike or whatever, it was easy and the kids actually shut up when I asked (I still have the power)!
I’m still desperately house hunting, and every time I think I’ve found somewhere something goes wrong, not good! The houses I’m seeing this weekend are apparently under offer but I’m thinking if I really like them I may bid higher and see what’s what!
I’m having people over tonight as well- when single I would have my friends over pretty much every weekend for drinks, games and DVDs but since the majority of us have got partners we’ve all become really lame at hanging out- it sucks! It was also much easier when I lived with Bex and so I always had a friendly face in the house instead of the fat Bus driver who talks at me, and the Russian who tries to screw us over (not fun)!
My insomnia is getting better but when I do sleep I’m having horrid nightmares at the moment, they’re making me appreciate my waking life a bit more, lol! I keep thinking Adam will cheat on me, namely because in real life he is the sweetest person ever. I’ve never dated someone who’s this straight forward- no games, no frills, just honesty and plain sailing. It reminds me of that episode of Sex and the City where Carrie is dating Aidan- he’s so perfect that she wakes up panicking every night- well it’s happening to me!
He’s got my engagement ring but isn’t giving it to me until after his mum gets remarried in December- I think its good as I don’t want to steal her thunder, but it’s also annoying because I want to see the ring (hehe)! We’ve decided (thanks to Tamara) that the best way to be spared all the stress and embarrassment of a wedding in front of people is that we’re just going to get married in Hawaii. To me it sounds perfect- just us and a minister, in a beautiful place that’s romantic but not too cheesy… and we get our honeymoon too. Bring on next August basically!
Anyways I’d best be off, no doubt there’s work I should be doing…
