So according to the commercial I just saw, this product is "all the rage in Europe" and I figured I'd ask those of you who live in that area if you've heard of/used this product.
It's supposedly a buffing pad that removes hair and saves you from the perils of shaving your legs, underarms, bikini area. |

I thought about trying it, because waxing & shaving are the only things that work for me. But seeing all the bad reviews I decided against it.

Haha my mum got some of these when I was like, 8 years old, I didn't shave at that age, so naturally - I was the person to test these things on. It was strange, it was like taking sandpaper to my leg. I think it did work, I remembering having one very smooth leg for a week, my other leg wasn't so lucky, my mum only tested it on my of my legs HAHA.

I've heard of them, you can get one you just rub with your hand and another one which is electric and spins around, I haven't used any of them though.

those things have been around for forever. it's like a tiny sand paper pad. it works, but it can hurt if you have sensitive skin. stings.

I used to work at a store that sold these. They always got returned, everyone said they sucked lol. I wouldn't waste your money unless you have the option of returning it.

BTW, in the UK these Smooth Away things are advertised as 'the fastest selling, most popular women's product in USA.'
So I reckon the countries play off each other, deciding which country to name as big buyers to attract the most sales! |
Acid Fairy Post Count: 1849 |
I have never seen these advertised! I feel like I am totally missing out!

My mom bought one & she's never been able to get it to work. She's said she's tried everything she could possible think of it but it never removes a single hair.

My grandma wasted her money on it..it doesnt really work..it takes forever just to get the freakin hair to be gone..it would take hours just to get it all gone. It's not worth the money.

What was that thing that was out in the 90's that had a slotted rubber piece that turned and grabbed hair while pulling it out? Epa-something. Can we say OUCH?
|
Transit Post Count: 1096 |
Do you mean an epilator? They aren't just a nineties thing, they are very popular.
|
Giggle Post Count: 279 |
Epilators are the best! Granted they do hurt but you'd have smooth skin for a couple of weeks before hair even starts growing back. Much easier than shaving every few days.

hahaha, my friend has one of those. It's called the "EpiLady."

They don't work AT all. I got like, a half of a centimeter area smooth [that's probably pushing it] but then the pad thing turned white and stopped working.
