I was wondering whoever has a smartphone uses this app? If you want to chat with me on it leave your pin number! I'm new to the app so i need people to chat with on it.

Jelly: Yes. its very awsome! You can even chat with people over seas and it doesnt costs.

I was using it for a while, to cut text costs to my US friends who don't have BBM... but it was draining my battery like mad, so I deleted it.
Another similar one (that doesn't seem like as much of a power-suck) is called What'sApp.

It says it doesnt use battery usage!

It can say all kinds of things...

Maybe it won't for you, but it sure sucked the battery out of my BlackBerry (Curve) and my friend's too (Storm).

Well if it does ill delete it and add the app your talking about!

that app is a damn battery sucker.
& being a tech support agent for RIM i know all the tips & tricks for maximizing battery life & that app isn't one of them.
& yeah, it idles in the background & there isn't anything you can do about it. it is in the design.
i've had tons of complaints about it, but because it is third party we don;t really get too much info on it either.
all of the negatives i know about it i should probably delete it too. haha

@broken angela: any app uses battery power, I'm shocked this one would even advertise such a thing ;D
It may mean when it's not being used (like idling in the background), but even that seems a little far-fetched to me!

Although Androids are notorious for poor batteries, so if you have one you may not even notice ;D
