Just curious -- before the crash we all had the free month of bloopxra... and i saw what they have to offer -- whats the point of paying for one? what is it that your drawn for it?

i kinda used it a few times to see who seen my entry and so on but what does it do for u? :-)

i had some extra money and i wanted to help keep the site up for a while. i've never been able to help out before and right after the crash, i kind of thought if i wasn't helping to keep the site up i would have no reason to bitch when/if it disappeared again due to server bills or anything like that.

Various reasons.

More file storage space. The message system also has a sent folder with the option to create your own folders in the future. Multiple visualisations and even for specific entries. You can make the ads go away. Pimped out stars. Search feature within entries. Exclusive entry lists and of course the "whos viewed it" list. To name a few anyway. heh

i wanted to support the site as well. i figured if i'm using it and steve is doing what he can to keep it going then i should help out, even if it's a little bit. i've on here for over five years so i might as well help out.

other than that, i just kind of like to chose the cute little stars ;-D.

Though I am not on staff anymore, maybe one day Steve will allow me to add some more. :)

I wanted to support the site. I also like the who's viewed.

Mine was actually a gift. Since I've had it and can write exclusive entries when it expires I'm going to get a yearly subscription. I love not having ads and being able to see who's viewed my entries.

Knowing that if I really wanted to, I can check who viewed (not that I often remember)

More importantly.. Steve needs up to subscribe. How else would he pay to keep us up and running.

I totally don't even notice the ads on this site. They are done really well in comparison to other diary sites - not all in your face and stuff.

If I had money to spare I would get it purely to support the site. But I am terribly skint so I'm afraid it's never gonna happen for the foreseeable future!

I've had Bloop Xtra so long that the ads annoy me a lot! I also like the star, and I want to help out with the costs of running a website. I know it's hard and I don't think it's fair for Steve to fork out the costs of a website that we all use and enjoy.

well, i subscribed for a few reasons.

one, to help out steve with the payments, obviously. he's got enough bills &stuff without bloop being something he pays for all by himself.

two, i really do enjoy the different little stars. ;D doc, you should deffo talk to steve about adding some more. ;)

three, i love being able to filter through all my stuff alot easier. plus, the storage space &visualisation things are nice options to have.

&i really love the exclusive list feature. sometimes, there are just some things that you don't want every single person on your fo list to read.

oh oh...and i had bloop xtra for quite a bit before the crash, so i got used to having no ads. once i lost it, i was like WTF IS ALL THIS ON MY DIARY, YO?! haha.

i think for a year, it's like $18. it's not much at all.

it's a nice little thing to have.

i mean, not only does it help to keep the site running, but you can also view who all your stalkers are. you'd be surprised at how many people you've never even heard of constantly view your diary. haha.

im not that interesting lol -- who would stalk?!

that's what i thought about myself. haha.

especially since as of late, i rarely even update.

but i have a couple who view all the time.

it doesn't bother me. haha. it's just nice to know who these people reading about my life &viewing my pictures are. haha.

but only because i don't want to lose my diary again. i didn't realise how much crap i had in it until the other day when i went to go show my roommate something from about 4 years ago, and realised it was all gone. haha.

THE BEST THING ABOUT BLOOP XTRA IS THAT YOU CAN TOTALLY FILTER COMMENTS. LIKE SAY YOU GET A WEIRD COMMENT FROM SOMEONE WHOSE NAME YOU DON'T RECOGNISE, AND YOU ARE TOTALLY CURIOUS WHO THIS PERSON IS AND WHETHER YOU'VE EVER TALKED TO THEM BEFORE - YOU CAN FILTER YOUR COMMENTS TO COMMENTS BY THIS PERSON AND SO SEE IF THEY HAVE LEFT ANY PREVIOUS COMMENTS OR IF THEY USED TO HAVE A DIFFERENT NAME. AND YOU CAN ALSO FILTER THEIR COMMENTS, IF THEY ARE PUBLIC, TO SEE IF YOU HAVE COMMENTED THEM BEFORE.
