Today while folding all my laundry I decided I would entertain myself and count all the articles of clothing I owned.
Upon finishing my count I was amazed to find I own exactly: - 88 tops/tanks/hoodies - 21 pairs of pants, shorts, and skirts - 5 bras - 47 pairs of panties/spankies - and 23 (WTF WHERE IS THE OTHER SOCK) pairs of socks Now before you all think I have a major shopping problem I promise you I don't. I just haven't gone through my clothes since I was in the 7th grade and I'm in college now. Yes, I still fit into all of them. So I'm curious, how many clothes do you own? How many loads of laundry do you do on a weekly basis? And where do you think those socks REALLY disappear to? |

I do two loads. Colors and whites. I don't even own enough to get my through the week. I wear pajama pants and sweats and such, only wearing my jeans and slacks out of the house because I only own a few pair, so I wear them as little as possible so I can re-wear them.
Being poor sucks. |

Yeah my parents never really bought me new clothes when I was in school so once I got my first job that's what I always blew my money on.
I'm very racist when it comes to my clothes. My whites, blacks, and coloreds all get their own washing time. It's probably why they have remained in such great shape for 6+ years. |

hehe if I had more I would separate them that way. As it is, i barely have enough for the two loads I do.
When I was in school I had PLENTY of clothes. But I've had to move so many times with whatever I could fit in a suitcase and a bag or two, my collection keeps shrinking. |

That's how I am =/
I have like four pairs of jeans, and two are really only super comfy that i'll wear them to work and stuff. Though I have a million pairs of PJ pants, so I wear them in the house. At least skirts are cheap, so I have a ton of flowy ones that I only paid $5 a piece for, in a jillion colors. |

i've never bothered to count my clothes, but i'm pretty sure i have WAY more than that. my walk in closet is small in this house (to me it is, others it's not), but in my last house it was 3 times the size of my current one, and i took up most of the space... shaun got like 5% of the room lmao. then again, half my clothes are still in MI.....
as for laundry, i do 6 loads a week. but only 2 of them are mine. gage gets 2 and shaun gets about 1.5. |

Pregnancy has caused my wardrobe to almost double. :P Especially in the bra department...I must have 4 of every size C-DD. It's been an expensive eight months!

Is it just me with like 38 bras? ... |

55 Shirts, hoodies, etc.
12 Pairs of pants & shorts 2 Bras 30 Pairs of underwear (approx.) 20 Pairs of socks (approx.) 2 Kimonos Total of 121 articles of clothing. Unfortunately, I don't fit into many of the shirts anymore. I'm holding on to them in the hopes that I can lose some weight sometime soon and squeeze back into them. lol The total number doubles when I include my boyfriend's stuff. I always make fun of him for having so much clothing. :P As for laundry, I try to do a load a week. I'm not normally able to, though, so it turns into two loads once every two weeks, or in some horrible cases, four or five loads once a month. More if we include household laundry like towels and whatnot. |

I go through my clothes every year and pick out the clothes I don't wear anymore and what clothes need to be thrown away. I have 6 pairs of jeans, 5 pairs of capris, and maybe a total of 20 shirts, that includes tank tops.

I don't understand either.
I never count how much bras I have but I have more than 20 bras for sure. How do you survive with just 2 or 3 bras? |

I have 2 REALLY GOOD bras & then about 3 or 4 not so good bras. I'm too poor to afford too many of the ones that actually lift like they should.

BRAS DON'T GET DIRTY LIKE KNICKERS DO, YO! LIKE YOU CAN WEAR THEM FOR MORE THAN ONE DAY. I TOTALLY HAVE ABOUT THREE BRAS, YO! BUT I ALSO HAVE A LITTLE WASHING MACHINE AND DO LAUNDRY ABOUT THREE TIMES A WEEK, YO!

Gosh I wear my bras for days haha it's probably really trampy of me, but hey as long as they don't smell! ;D

I do too! I change my bra once a week. Hey, they don't smelllll! Plus I take them off as soon as I get home to shower and don't put them on til I'm getting dressed again the next day. I only own about 6 bras, but they're all from Victorias Secret. They might be expensive (usually $40-60 each), but they last AGES. I get new bras approximately once every year and a half or two years.

Because bras cost like £25 each! I have 4, I need more but shit I can't afford it!

I agree!! It's alright for small boobed people who can go to Primark/Matalan/New Look etc and get cheap pretty bras, but for those of us who have big knockers and have to pay £25-£30 a pop, 5 bras is plenty!! Although I have big boobs, the bras dont get smelly and dirty from sweat because the bras lift my boobs up away from my ribcage.

People with two bra's, isn't it annoying have to be wearing one and washing one so you have a clean one to wear the next day? I only do washing once a fortnight, I don't know how much stuff I have, I'm not at home at the moment so I can't count but I could go two months without doing any washing if I wasn't fussed about what I wanted to wear.
|
Tracie Post Count: 140 |
Yeah same here, I could go well over a month without doing wash and I wouldn't run out ha ha.

Estella Post Count: 1779 |
HOW OFTEN DO YOU CHANGE YOUR BRA, TRANSIT, YO? MAYBE YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOURS MORE OFTEN BECAUSE YOU HAVE BIG BOOBIES - LIKE BIG BOOBIES GET ALL SWEATY UNDERNEATH AND STUFF. MY BOOBIES ARE PRACTICALLY NON-EXISTANT, SO I CAN WEAR A BRA FOR SEVERAL DAYS AND IT STAYS CLEAN AND NON-SMELLY, YO! AND BESIDES, I OFTEN DON'T BOTHER WEARING A BRA. LIKE I ONLY WEAR THEM WHEN I GO TO WORK OR COLLEGE OR SOMETHING. SO IF I RUN OUT OF BRAS, IT TOTALLY DOESN'T MATTER. I JUST GO BRA-LESS AND WEAR A BIG FLEECE SO THERE IS NO NIPPLE-SHOWING!
