I love tattoos! I spend hours looking at them online, studying people who I see, etc. I'm curious to see who on Bloop has tattoos! Why don't you post a picture (or pictures) of your tattoo(s)? Tell me what inspired them, what you like about them, etc. If you don't have any tattoos... why or why not? If you want one... show me what you want! :)
Here are mine: My first. The outside says "After a while you can make yourself believe in almost anything." The inside says "Only God Can Judge Me." I absolutely HATE this tattoo. I got it the day I turned 18 and I literally didn't know what I "wanted" until a week before I went in. It was supposed to be smaller. I didn't have guts to tell the GRUMPY tattoo artist that I didn't 100% like it. It was big, but I really liked the design and the lettering. I grew into the idea of it being big and I said go for it. What I didn't know is that the tattoo artist was getting old and shaky. He did my sisters tattoo 15 years prior, so I wanted him to do my first (since she passed away). If you study the picture you can see where the lettering doesn't line up. If you could see it in person you'd see how there are some spots he pushed heavier than others and it's all blotchy. It's just poor quality. Also the phrase "Only God Can Judge Me" wasn't something I got for me - I got it to piss off my father. I regret this entire tattoo. I am going to get it covered up as soon as I can find something that isn't too HEAVY (like a big black blob) and will still look feminine. Good luck, self. This is my second. It says "Life Love Pain" on my right wrist. The picture is bad because it's hard to take a picture of your own wrist (while driving). I got this tattoo with my boyfriend at the time, Lee. I do not regret it one bit. He has the same tattoo and I know that it keeps us connected. We got along great and we're still friends. :) This is my tattoo that I have with my best friend, Krystal. It's hard to get a good picture of it since it's on my shoulder haha. Both of those were right after it was done so it's red and icky looking! haha. This tattoo represents our individuality as well as our commitment as friends. This is my NEXT tattoo. It is NOT going to be that big. It will be VERY small (maybe 1 1/2 inches long?). It's going to go on my ankle. The "I.T." stands for "International Twin". I am getting this tattoo with one of my very best friends. :) After we get them (in 2 weeks) I will post pictures. :D NOW TELL ME YOUR STORY!! |

Here are a couple of my tats:
The first is a tat that a friend designed and I added my son's initials to it: This is one I did when I was 14. It was done with a safety pin and black indian ink. My favorite band of all time, behind Pink Floyd is Corrosion of Conformity. I got their band logo done shortly after my oldest son was born. |

I am right there with you.. i LOVE looking at tattoos!
here are the two I have this means Dream... I thought of it when I was 14 and got it when I was 21. I was determined not to jumping in to getting my first tattoo. My goal was to not get anything that I didn't want for more then one year. I got this after I was diagnosed with Endometriosis. After i had to quit everything - work, school.. move back home so my grama and boyfriend could take care of me full time. I just had to take life one step at a time.. it helps me keep things together when life gets hard. (this was right after I got it done) THIS is my next tattoo.. Im VERY excited about it. The yellow ribbon is for Endometriosis Awareness and the three spoons are for The Spoon Theory. If you haven't read it go read it! IT IS AMAZING - well it is to me anyway. I went from going uh... and kinda stuttering through an explanation of what I was going through to showing this to people and them getting it. PLUS knowing I wasn't alone. (The story is written by a woman with Lupus but the story can be used for anyone with a chronic illness). oh and its hard to see because after i drew it i couldn't find my camera.. had to use the phone but you get the point. - oh yeah im getting this on the foot with the words.. im thinking where the words start.. kinda on my ankle bone |

I have 3 tattoos.
My first tattoo was a butterfly on my lower back, it's been used in a couple entry layouts on here actually. I got that when I was 15. My second tattoo was a cluster of stars on my right foot. My third tattoo is my dedication tattoo to my daughter Haylie. I call her Bug hence the lady bug on it |

I have two tattoos. One on each wrist. Don't have pictures of them though. One is a skull and crossbones. I got it shortly after I turned 18. Got it because I just really like skulls. Don't know why I like them so much, but I do. Don't regret getting it done. The other is the logo for the band The 69 Eyes. Again, don't regret getting it. I have tons more that I want to get, but the next one I get done will be for my daughter. I know I want to get her hand prints and name, but I am just trying to plan out where I want it done and how I want it to look. Was planning on getting it on my chest by my heart, but having a heart condition that would be bad so I cannot do that lol.

Hopefully this works...
This is my most recent one. Its the symbol for the band HIM but it also has the meaning of a ying-yang basically lol. My second one :). Eye of horus = Protection My first one :). Ankh = Life. I had an egyptian phase and just loved what they both stood for. |

ankh = psilocybin mushroom/Kundalini
Eye of Osiris/Horus = The pineal gland, which contains the most powerful Hallucinogen known- DMT The pineal gland is the mediator between the left and right brain. The pineal gland with her hullicinogens is you, your consciousness. It's the third all seeing eye this third eye can be opened up with the mushroom/ankh |

It's interesting =) It was once believed that the pineal gland was the very location of the soul.

It's the perfect location for one. :)
something i learned not to long ago, was why is buddha's headdress a pinecone, and why did the druids have pinecones, I always thought it just meant the spiral of life pattern, like flowers and teh hair on are head and every grows in the spiral pattern like our galaxy, meaning I thought the pinecone had to do with the geometrical code we live in. but, i found out that it has another dualistic meaning our inner eye, the retina, the pineal gland's inner eye retina that we use to have such vivid dreams. or hallucinations. |
DecentralizedByGuilt Post Count: 460 |
...ie pine cone = third eye, retina, inner eye. used to see dreams with, see visions, etc
and the druids have the pine cones on their staffs. left out teh staffs, lol i like other religions have pine cone staffs to and i believe also the pine cone is found in early christian art |

My first. I got this the night I graduated (commencement) from high school with my best friend. We'd been talking about getting a tat together for a while but we finally settled on it. It was late. We walked in. It isn't the best tattoo I could have gotten and I need to get it touched up. Totally forget it's there. ;D (it's tiny...a little over an inch at most) My second tattoo. On my right ankle--got it several months ago during A's spring break... we had an interesting time in Louisville trying to find a tattoo parlor on a busy Friday night and it was pretty insane. The first place didn't take walk ins and the second we had to call twice to figure out where the hell they were. We sat down and waited since we were walk-ins. Didn't know if I was getting a tattoo that night or not, but I had been planning on having a peacock feather on my personal being at some point--I just think they're gorgeous really. Maybe it's subliminal for liking to strut about all proud like. ;) |

Lets see if this works..
These were taken bout an hour or so after I got it done. The date is the day my dad passed away. The "tribal like wings" symbolizes him 'flying away'.. my next tattoo will be saved until I have kids and I'll have those dates with a some sort sign of being born. I want one to for the date of my marriage but hubby thinks it'll curse us lol. |

Tattoo's are great. Mine are the kind that look pretty generic to some people, but have a special meaning that is very important to me. Except for the first one that I got when I was 15... that was just an act of rebellion and is completely generic, lol. I won't be showing that one off!
The second one I got was this: I got the cross as a symbol of faith rather than religion for me. It also symbolises crucifiction for me as well. It's a bad picture anyway because I didn't realise just how hard it is to take a picture of your own back! And this is the last one I got: Butterflies are images that are just dripping with symbolism really. This one means regeneration, transformation and learning to fly... or at least thats what it means to me. It's the most positive of my tattoo's. |

This is my most recent tattoo, got it yesterday in fact. It's a quote from my all-time favorite movie, "The Crow" ... I've always wanted something from that movie, and plus I love the quote. To me, it means that things won't be bad all the time. ;) Something remind myself quite often. The tattoo above it, was my very first tattoo. I got it in August 2008. It's a kanje/Japanese symbol meaning "Younger sister." My sister has a matching one in the same spot meaning "Older sister" This was the second one that I got. It really has no meaning.. but I think to me it means to always be "true to myself". I got this in January 2009. I just realised that I've gotten 3 tattoos in less than a year. I'm addicted. :o |

This is my first one, it has double meaning to me, because its a christian fish symbol, which is pretty obvious what it stands for... and secondly a fish was my best mates favourite animal before he died, so it reminds me of him as well.. Oh, and its on my wrist! The second one I want to get (but cant until I actually move out of home) is this; But with music notes coming out of the side. I want it on my ankle. |
DecentralizedByGuilt Post Count: 460 |
The christian fish represents the age of Pisces, in the zodiac great yr
the progression of the ages goes in reverse direction through the zodiac signs exmp: There was worship of the bull - Taurus Then came Moses (The Ram/Aries) who destroyed the Bull/Taurus Then came Jesus (The Fish) who made new laws over the old- Moses/Aries We are now in the dawning of the Age of Aquarius (technology/science) |
